The War in Pictures

A story that hasn’t been told. . .
in a place few people have seen.

A timber executive who hates trees and a free-spirit activist who loves them, struggle to save a rainforest from a corporate robber baron.

Co-starring SOLSTICE,
a 300-foot redwood  that was a sprout in the age of Alexander the Great
!

A story of love and war in the treetops, inspired by the legendary crusade of young  activists to save California’s ancient redwoods.

Lovers in a
dangerous time!

Jed and Angel make love on a tiny platform, 250 feet up.

They scramble across unstable traverse lines to escape angry loggers.

Jed Hawkins, a city boy with no outdoor skills and a fear of heights, scales “Solstice,” a 300-foot Redwood to save Earth Angel from being cut down along with her tree.

JED HAWKINS is a timber executive who hates trees ever since watching his father die in a chainsaw accident. “They can cut every damn one of ‘em for all I care.”

EARTH ANGEL is a beautiful, free-spirit activist who is committed to saving the forest to the core of her soul. Here, she first discovers the Old Growth Redwoods; dances naked in the woods.

When a clear-cut hillside collapses in a violent storm, Jed and Angel are caught in a massive mudslide that smashes into the little logging town of Scotsland.

Jed joins activist protesters who lock themselves together around Solstice. Police thugs pour pepper spray directly into his eyes.

When police storm a group of peaceful protesters,
Jed rides to their rescue in a logging truck

A film with broad audience appeal...

 you
don’t
even
have to
be a
tree hugger
